FAQs

  • Gospel-centered biblical counseling is an approach to counseling that places Jesus Christ at the center of the therapeutic process. It recognizes the authority and sufficiency of the Bible as the foundation for understanding human nature, addressing personal struggles, and promoting spiritual growth. This counseling model acknowledges that all individuals are broken and in need of redemption.

Biblical counseling seeks to integrate biblical principles, teachings, and values into the therapeutic framework, emphasizing the importance of prayer, Scripture study, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. The focus is on helping individuals discover their identity in Christ, understanding God’s purposes and plans for their lives, and finding hope, forgiveness, and restoration through faith.

By emphasizing the transformative power of Christ’s love and grace, this approach offers individuals a unique opportunity to experience healing, restoration, and spiritual growth as they journey towards wholeness in their relationship with God and others.

  • Clinically informed biblical counseling is an approach to counseling that addresses the whole person – body and soul. We believe that God created us as embodied souls and that he cares about our physcial and spiritual wholeness. Through the Biblical lens we value the common grace of scientific knowledge enabling us to provide holistic and comprehensive care for individuals facing emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges.

In this counseling model, trained professionals apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions through the framework and interpretive grid of biblical wisdom and principles. Counselors aim to address clients’ physiological (body, mind, and soul) needs while considering their spiritual beliefs and values. This approach acknowledges the complexity of human experiences and seeks to provide guidance, support, and healing in a manner that aligns with an individual’s faith and spirituality.

Clinically informed biblical counseling seeks to bring the best of psychological research and clinical practices through a biblical worldview, offering clients a comprehensive and tailored approach to their emotional and spiritual growth.
